Bensenville, Ill. (April 16, 2026) — The Bensenville Park District’s Summer Movie in the Park series will kick off with a magical evening under the stars featuring a drive-in style showing of “Wicked,” 8 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at the White Pines Golf Club driving range, 500 W. Jefferson in Bensenville.
Families are invited to enjoy the blockbuster musical from the comfort of a golf cart, creating a unique outdoor movie experience. Golf cart rentals are available for $10, with each cart accommodating up to two adults. Carts may be reserved in advance at the Deer Grove Leisure Center (DGLC), with payment due at White Pines the day of the event. Quantities are limited, and each cart is restricted to two riders.
Guests are also encouraged to bring blankets and gather friends and family for the special outdoor screening. Concessions will be available for purchase during the Drive in Movie.
Based on the beloved Broadway musical, “Wicked” tells the story of Elphaba, the misunderstood green-skinned girl who ultimately becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, and her unlikely friendship with Glinda the Good—long before Dorothy arrives in Oz.
Admission to the event is free, though advance registration is encouraged at the DGLC. Golf cart rentals are optional and available for $10 per cart.
