Golf Instruction

Nowadays, you can find just about anything on the internet, even golf tutorials. But, as we all know, tutorials can only teach you so much. Actual time on the green with a PGA-certified golf instructor will allow you to up your skill level. In fact, it’s the single best way to improve your game. According to PGA.com, “a PGA Professional is uniquely skilled at evaluating your game and can help you hit the ball longer and straighter, play better on and around the greens, improve your course management skills and make sure your equipment fits you properly.“

White Pines PGA Professional Bill Roper and Assistant Pro Tom Eddy are available to help improve your game with a variety of lessons and formats, from beginner lessons to advance lessons. Adult Golf 101
New to the game of golf or have never swung a club, but want to say “count me in” when your friends ask you to join them at a golf outing? Then, this class is for you. We will cover everything from the basic swing to how to check in for your tee time. If you have clubs, we highly recommend you bring them, but if not, no worries, we will have clubs for you. Our goal is that you will walk out of this class feeling at home at a golf course.

Adult Golf 202
Do you enjoy playing golf but want to get better at it? This is going to be the class for you! This class is for anyone from a beginner to an advanced player. We will cover all aspects of the game from making putts to hitting it far. Our goal is to lower your score on the golf course and help you enjoy the game. Bring clubs to the first class and we will dive right in.

Beginning Junior Golf 101
Junior Golf is back! Our Junior Golf Class 101 is a great way to start learning how to play golf. We cover all the basics of the game in a fun and engaging environment. The students will also learn about golf etiquette which will help them when they head out on the course. If you don’t have clubs, no problem, we have some for you.

Advanced Junior Golf 202
This class is for juniors who’ve played golf before and are wanting to take their game to the next level. We dive deeper into the golf swing, bunker play, and your short game. We will also work on course management to lower your score. We also work on course management to lower our scores. On the last day we will go on the course to test your knowledge. Please bring your clubs to class each week.

High School Golf Class 303
This class is an in-depth program to help you make or continue making the high school golf team. This class runs the entire summer for 8 weeks. At the end of 8 weeks you will be prepared for tryouts and hopefully make the team. We work on the range and the golf course to provide excellent experience of what high school golf is like. Be ready for some great instruction and to have fun. No class July 3; times are at 3-4 p.m. first four weeks, and 3-5 p.m. last four weeks.
