Bring the whole family out for an evening of golf at the Jim Geils Family Golf Nights after 4:30 p.m. on the third Sunday each month! The tees have been moved up for the evening, and players can play at their own pace while enjoying an inexpensive meal deal! Named for former Bensenville Park District Commissioner Jim Geils, who passed away in 2023, Jim Geils Family Golf Nights feature affordable rates and a family-friendly environment appropriate for those of all skill levels.

Born in 1958, James “Jimmy” Geils passed away at the age of 65. In addition to his service to the community and park district as a commissioner, he is remembered for following in his great grandfather, grandfather and father’s footsteps in providing funeral services dedicated to helping families in their time of need.
Geils was appointed to the Bensenville Park District Board of Commissioners in May 2013 and was elected to the board in 2015. In his capacity as commissioner, he served as treasurer from May 2013 to May 2016 and then as secretary from June 2016 until May 2021.
On February 21, 2024, Bensenville Park District Board President Rich Johnson signed a proclamation declaring the board adopt a resolution naming family golf nights in Geils’ honor, inclusive of logo, marketing, signage, accessories, apparel, tee markers and flags.
