BENSENVILLE, Ill. (August 9, 2026) — Big fun starts with little swings at Little Links, a youth golf program at White Pines Golf Club designed to introduce children ages 4-8 to the game in a fun, engaging and exciting way.
Little Links welcomes young golfers of all backgrounds, abilities and experience levels. Whether a child is picking up a club for the first time or already loves chasing birdies, this innovative, beginner-friendly training system using oversized plastic clubs, launch pads and soft, tennis-ball-like balls that stick to special targets. It is designed to teach full swings, pitching, chipping and putting anywhere. The program provides an encouraging environment where kids can learn the fundamentals of golf while building confidence and having fun.
Little Links meets from 1-2 p.m. Sundays, Sept. 6-27, at White Pines Golf Club. The fee is $110, or $100 for in-district patrons.
“Little Links is all about making golf fun and approachable for kids,” said White Pines PGA Head Golf Professional Bill Roper. “At this age, the goal isn’t to worry about perfect swings or keeping score. It’s about learning the game, making new friends, getting outside and leaving with a smile. Those are the kinds of experiences that can turn a first swing into a lifelong love of golf.”
With age-appropriate instruction and plenty of encouragement, Little Links gives young players a chance to explore the game at their own pace while developing skills they can build on for years to come.
