BENSENVILLE, Ill. (April 13, 2026) — The Bensenville Park District is inviting the community to get moving this summer with the return of its popular Fitness Dayz series, kicking off in May with a free Tai Chi-inspired workout at the White Pines Golf Club, 500 W. Jefferson in Bensenville.
Open to ages 18 and older, Fairway Flow runs from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, blending Tai Chi-inspired movements with golf-specific mobility exercises to help participants improve flexibility, balance and coordination — whether they play golf or not.
Designed as a low-impact fitness experience, Fairway Flow introduces participants to the controlled, fluid movements found in Tai Chi, which research has shown can enhance core stability, posture and weight transfer — all essential components of an effective golf swing. The class concludes with optional putting challenges or a casual social hour at the clubhouse.
White Pines PGA General Manager Andrew Godfrey highlighted the collaborative effort behind the program: “This partnership with Wood St. Fitness allows us to bring innovative, accessible fitness opportunities to the community. Fairway Flow is a great example of how we can combine wellness, recreation and social connection in a welcoming environment.”
Fairway Flow serves as the first in a lineup of summer Fitness Dayz events hosted by the Bensenville Park District. The series encourages residents of all ages and fitness levels to stay active through a variety of free and low-cost outdoor classes.
The series continues with Outdoor Aerobics, 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, at Sunrise Park (ages 14+, free). Yoga at the Farm takes place 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Fischer Farm (ages 14+, free). Zumba Surf & Turf runs 11 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Water Park (ages 15+, $10 or free for pass holders). The series concludes with the Boot Camp, from 9-10 a.m. Aug. 15 at Varble Park. The boot camp is followed by a bring-your-own Veteran’s Brunch at the Kiwanis Shelter.
“The Fitness Dayz series reflects the district’s ongoing commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles through engaging, community-focused programming,” added Recreation Supervisor Ty Beshiri, who oversees the Wood St. Fitness Center.
