Bensenville, Ill. (October 7, 2025) — White Pines Golf Club is seeking players and sponsors for its third-annual “Golf Sticks and Drumsticks” four-person scramble tournament Saturday, November 22, at 500 W. Jefferson St., Bensenville. The event has grown each year and organizers hope to have 200 golfers for the event, which begins with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
Golfers of all skill levels are invited to form four-person teams and participate in the scramble, and every participant will take home a frozen turkey, just in time for the Thanksgiving feast. Additionally, each player will receive two drink tickets, valid for domestic or non-alcoholic beverages, to add to the festivities.
For those seeking an extra layer of competition, an optional $20 team skins game is available to make the day even more interesting.
Golf enthusiasts are encouraged to act swiftly, as registration is limited, ensuring an intimate and engaging experience for all participants. The team entry fee is $400 or $100 per person. “This big cup tournament will award prizes to the top three teams,” says White Pines PGA Golf Professional Bill Roper. “And every participant will receive a turkey just in time for Thanksgiving.”
Several sponsorship opportunities are available, and sponsor revenue will be donated to the Friends of Bensenville Parks Foundation. Formed in 2023, Friends of Bensenville Parks is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit to support vibrant, accessible and inclusive recreational programs and spaces for the entire community.
The Presenting Sponsorship is $5000 and includes three foursomes with two (2) hole sponsorships (one on each course, East and West) with benefits for each player as described above, banner logo representation on all cart GPS systems, recognition on signage and graphics at course entrance as well as listing in public relations and promotional materials.
A Turkey Sponsorship of $2800 covers the cost of the turkey giveaway and includes two (2) hole sponsorships (one on each course, East and West) with two foursomes, and a logo sticker on each turkey highlighting the sponsoring organization and recognition on signage at the course entrance.
Hole sponsorships ($600) are the most popular, and include company signage at the tee box, an in-cart graphic at the green, listing on the sponsor signage as well as a foursome team entry and all benefits included therein.
A beverage cart sponsorship ($1500) includes a hole sponsorship with benefits, name on sponsor banner, a hole sponsorship with foursome included.
Recognition sponsorship is meant for organizations that want to support the event without playing golf. Gold recognition sponsorships ($250) are hole sponsorships without the golf and include company name placard on tee area of a hole and an in-cart graphic at the green of that hole. Silver recognition sponsors ($100) receive logo placement on the recognition signage at the course entrance. Gift-in-kind donations are also accepted.
