Relax and rejuvenate with White Pines’ Yoga & Mimosas April 18

Bensenville, Ill. (March 18, 2026) — The White Pines Golf Club, in partnership with Wood St. Fitness, invites area residents to indulge in the perfect blend of tranquility and refreshment at its Yoga & Mimosas event from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, April 18. Sponsored by Oak St. Health, participants will enjoy a harmonious morning of yoga and relaxation in the elegant ambiance of White Pines Banquet Hall.

During the event, a Wood St. Fitness instructor will lead a gentle yoga flow designed to help participants relax, recharge and reconnect with their bodies. The session also offers a welcoming opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for wellness while enjoying a couple mimosas in this serene setting with golf course views.

“Yoga & Mimosas is a wonderful way for people to take time for themselves while also enjoying the social side of wellness,” said Recreation Supervisor Ty Beshiri, who oversees Wood St. Fitness programs. “Our instructors create an inclusive and relaxing atmosphere where participants of all experience levels can unwind, move their bodies and leave feeling refreshed.”

Research supports the many health benefits of yoga. According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, yoga can improve strength, balance and flexibility while also helping relieve back pain and ease arthritis symptoms. Regular practice may reduce stress levels and body-wide inflammation, contributing to improved heart health. Yoga also addresses several factors associated with heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight.

Yoga can also promote better overall well-being. The National Institutes of Health reports that yoga supports stress management, mental health, mindfulness, healthy eating habits, weight loss and quality sleep, while encouraging individuals to prioritize self-care.

Even the mimosas may have surprising benefits. Research cited in a 2015 article in the University of Reading suggests Champagne may support memory function and potentially reduce the risk of strokes and heart disease due to its high levels of polyphenols, natural antioxidants found in grapes that may help lower blood pressure and support cardiovascular health.

Reservations for Yoga & Mimosas are available now, with full payment of $30, or $25 for in-district residents, required by end of day on April 16. To reserve a spot, call 630-766-7015 or register in person at Wood St. Fitness inside the Deer Grove Leisure Center, 1000 W. Wood St. in Bensenville. Space is limited and reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
