Bensenville, Ill. (Sept. 12, 2025)— White Pines Golf Club is inviting families to experience one of the nation’s fastest-growing outdoor games at its free Family BucketGolf event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19.
BucketGolf, a hybrid of golf and backyard games, is designed for all ages and skill levels. Played with just one club per person, the game challenges participants to complete a creatively designed par-3 course by striking a ball into a bucket. Hitting any part of the bucket finishes the hole, while sinking the ball inside earns a bonus stroke deduction. Players must also navigate hazards like bushes and water, which result in penalty strokes.
“As the seasons change, we wanted to bring families together for something active, fun and different,” says White Pines PGA General Manager Andrew Godfrey. “BucketGolf is the perfect way to enjoy the crisp fall air, share some laughs and a little friendly competition in a relaxed setting.”
Clubs will be provided, and the event is free to all participants. Families are encouraged to sign up at the White Pines Pro Shop in advance.
